Our History
From the initial consultation through the final construction walk-through, you place your trust in more than just a capable firm – you place your trust in a relationship.From custom patios and pools to arbors, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, and much more, River Hills Construction have been building customer relationships for years. We are gratified in having clients who have engaged us to create their Outdoor Living space from residence to residence, designing new ambiance as their families and environmental needs have evolved.We approach the design process as the foundation of the relationship. It is the collaboration between the client and designer, each mutually invested to conceive and execute a common vision.
Our Company Today

Operating just a few minutes west of Austin in beautiful Spicewood TX, we serve the greater Austin area as a local and family-owned pool and outdoor living construction company for not only new builds, but also pool remodels, repairs, and even weekly pool service.

You might find that other volume builders may only take on certain parts of your outdoor project, leaving you to source other contractors, but with our small and dedicated team, you can rest assured that we can do it all!

Our Process

Because we have been designing outdoor living areas in Central Texas and Austin for over 20 years, we have refined and improved our design and construction process over the years.

We still put honesty, hard work and craftsmanship first in our process, along with our commitment to excellent customer service.

Our process begins with getting to know each other. We meet with our customers in their homes so that we understand their lifestyle, tastes, and desires. We listen carefully to each client’s ideas and concerns. You can count on River Hills Construction to have our finger on the pulse of the most exciting new outdoor living area designs and techniques.

Prior to beginning the design process, we survey the yard. Unlike some swimming pool and backyard contractors, our survey process is comprehensive. We locate utilities, shoot elevations and measure all aspects of the home and yard. Our experience has taught us the importance of details the homeowner might not think about, such as views, lines of sight from throughout the home and where to locate various elements of the proposed outdoor living areas. We can make suggestions on where to place outdoor fireplaces or fire pits, outdoor kitchens, cabanas and even outdoor furniture.

If our clients have plans for future construction or expansion, we encourage them to share those ideas with us as we create a master plan for the backyard. We save our customers money in future construction projects by laying the groundwork early on, putting utilities, flatwork, drainage and structural elements for the next phase in place.We provide thorough documentation and explanations to our clients throughout every step of the process, and pride ourselves on excellent communication and exceeding customer expectations.
